Returns Policy

We supply a variety of aftermarket, replacement and used products for motor vehicles to save money on accessorizing, maintaining and servicing your vehicle. Some items may need coding, slight cutting and adjustment to fit. If however you are not completely satisfied, you can return the product to us and we will either repair/replace it, or credit your account (Issue a Credit Note), subject to the below terms. Reasons for returns are varied from clicking the wrong product on the website, our dispatch team sending wrong goods, goods damaged/defective, product not working, all of which can be returned. In all cases your invoice number and reason for return will be required and goods damaged due to improper installation will not be regarded as valid returns. This Policy applies to products bought from our website or directly from our shops. We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality, and in good working order and without defects. A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.

Certain parts of this Policy do not apply to electrical products, reconditioned products or used products, and this is indicated in the relevant sections below. Our policies do not limit your other rights to alternative resolutions and the laws of South Africa.

 Limits for Returns.

A valid return should meet the following criteria.

1.                   The product should be returned within 7 days of purchase.

2.                   The product should be in original form, original packaging and with all accessories it came with.

3.                   The goods should be undamaged, unfitted and not used.

4.                   An email to sales@makayiauto.co.za with explanation, photos, videos of the product to be returned.

5.                   Invoice number for the purchase is clearly marked or copy included.

Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether. In some cases we will provide refunds on goods purchased as per policy below.

 REFUNDS

Refund policy refers only to goods/products that have been successfully returned as per our Return policy. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at our choice repair / replace the product as soon as possible (if such repair is possible/ we have the same product in stock to use as a replacement) or credit your account with the purchase price of the product. We may also refund the Full Purchase price less 20% handling fees if we cannot reasonably find replacement of the product required, or your request for refund is approved mainly due to our fault in the supply. If a product that does not comply with this Policy, you may be liable to reimburse for the cost of collecting the product from you and the cost of having the product returned to you.

Please note that we only refund to the payment method that you originally used – i.e. payment by credit card will be refunded to the same credit card, payment by Instant EFT or COD (cash on delivery) will be refunded to your nominated bank account, and payment by Discovery Miles or eBucks will be refunded to your Discovery Miles or eBucks account.
